Obituary of Catherine R. Topel

Catherine R. Topel, age 62, of Grandview, Missouri, formerly of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.

Catherine was born August 4, 1957 in Oak Park, Illinois.  She was the daughter of Richard and Anita (Goss) Topel.

Catherine moved away from Lake of the Ozarks in her twenties to Grandview, Missouri and remained there until recently when her health began to deteriorate.   Catherine worked as a data processor at UPS in Grandview. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on needlepoint projects.  She also generously gave of her time and volunteered at various charitable organizations through the years.

Catherine is survived by her parents, Richard and Anita Topel of Osage Beach, Missouri; her brother Richard A. Topel of Osage Beach, Missouri; her aunt Mary Sugrue and aunt Sandra Pohlmann; her niece Crystal Neuman and husband, Joe; her nephew Mac Topel and fiancé Taylor; along with several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Topel.

Service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Chapel, Osage Beach, Missouri.
