Obituary of Annie Lou Hilton

Annie Lou Hilton, age 83, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at her home in Macks Creek. Annie was born November 6, 1936,on Lookout Mountain, Georgia, to Robert E. Durham, Sr.and Alice Missouri (Pilgrim) Durham. Annie was united in marriage on June 9, 1955,to Quae Irvin Thrush, (Pete) who preceded her in death on September 23, 1970. After his passing, she was married to Benjamin Hilton on September 22, 1972, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1996. For many years, Annie worked as a cook at various restaurants. She was a devoted member of Lookout Mountain Missionary Baptist Church on Lookout Mountain, Georgia. She loved her family, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren very much and was always delighted to cook for them. Annie is survived by her children Robert N. Thrush,Sr. and wife Karen of Knoxville, Tennessee, Eugene M. Thrush (Mike)of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Susan Anderson and husband Michael of Macks Creek, Missouri; her grandchildren Robert N. Thrush, Jr.(Neil) and wife Liz, Denise Graber and husband Micah, Dane Anderson, and Amber Lea Burkey and husband Ricky; and her 5 great-grandchildren Laken Graber, Lacy-Kate Graber, Tristan Anderson, Willow Anderson, and Nathan Thrush. She is also survived by her brother James Durham and wife Suzanne of Ringgold, Georgia, and her sister Shirley Bull of East Ridge, Tennessee. Annie was preceded in death by her parents Robert E. Durham, Sr. and Alice Durham; her husbands Quae Irvin Thrush (Pete) and Benjamin Hilton; her son, Thomas E. Thrush; her brother Robert E. Durham Jr. (Bob); and her sisters Hazel Neal and Rosalee Veal (Jack). A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 10:00 am, at Paynes Chapel United Methodist Church on Lookout Mountain, Georgia. She will be interred by her children at Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville, Georgia, at a later time. Memorial donations are suggested to Paynes Chapel United Methodist Church.
