Obituary of Patsy Ruth King

Patsy Ruth King, age 85, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach. Patsy was born July 6, 1934 in Mount Vernon, Illinois, to Charles and Freda Bone. On February 20, 1955, Patsy was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” King in Illinois. They shared 49 years together before Richard preceded her in death on April 7, 2004. Patsy found joy in serving others. One of the multiple ways she showed this was by working as a nurse for many years. She was devoted to reading the Bible and being involved in church activities. She also enjoyed many other activities including playing the guitar, singing, fishing, and crocheting. But her most cherished time was spent with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Patsy is survived by her son Richard King and wife Cindy of Brumley, Missouri; her seven grandchildren Jacob King and wife Britney, Colten King and girlfriend Elizabeth, Justin King and wife Beth, Erin King, Ethan King and wife Carol, Gary Lasater and wife Suzy, and Donny Presutti; and her 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces. Patsy is preceded in death by her husband Richard King; her daughters Mary Lynn King, Penny King, and Patty King; her parents Charles and Freda Bone; her brother Charles Bone; and her sisters Mildred Stalhman and Mary Jane Landing. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lonedell, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
