Obituary of Eva M Heathman

Eva M. Heathman, age 67, of Roach, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 peacefully at her home in Roach. Eva was born September 16, 1952 in Manchester, New Hampshire to Oliver and Josephine (Hanna) Oglesby. She was raised there until she moved to Missouri where she met Charles Heathman. He was born in Idabel, Oklahoma. They purchased their land and built their home in Roach, Missouri. They got married and shared nine years together. They were a happy couple full of love for each other. Charles left this world to be with God on April 25, 1998. Eva never stopped wishing he was still here with her. In 2005, Eva built a biker bar. She named it The Iron Horse Saloon. She had many memories up until the day she sold it. Eva raised and sold horses. She enjoyed the thrill of breaking them. Eva was a kind spirited woman with a heart of gold! She had a smile that could brighten up a room. Eva loved to ride motorcycles, sing, dance, cook, knit, garden, and go to the casinos. Eva enjoyed watching movies and playing games with her two girls Maria and Eva. Eva loved and adored her children and enjoyed watching her youngest daughter Maria growing up. Eva enjoyed studying the Bible with her good friends Janet Gross, Mark and Maryanne Garriet, and Walt and Elizabeth Waltman. Eva loved her two dogs Candy and Timber and her cat Crybaby. Her most cherished time was spent with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Eva leaves behind her children Maria Heathman and Eva Avery of the home, James Reed of Concord, New Hampshire, Clifford Avery of Boston, Massachusetts, Denise Dore of Sedalia, Missouri, and Sherry Phillips Oglesby of Milford, New Hampshire; son-in-law Larry Gazarek of Mack’s Creek, Missouri; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Ronald Oglesby and wife Lisa of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Gary Oglesby of Osage Beach, Missouri; her brother-in-law Michael Heathman; her dearest close friend Richard Cooper of Tennessee; and several nephews, nieces, and friends. Eva was preceded in death by her husband Charles Heathman; her parents Oliver and Josephine Oglesby; and her brother Chester Oglesby. Eva will be buried at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in Jefferson City, Missouri at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home at a later date.
