Obituary of Keith William Johansen

Keith "Papa” William Johansen passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at his home in Lebanon, Missouri. Keith fought a courageous battle with many afflictions for many years while maintaining his sense of humor throughout. Keith was born to Herman “Mike” William Johansen and Dorothy Marie (Baumunk) Johansen on August 2, 1938 in Big Rapids, Michigan where he lived and attended school. He was a retired service repair technician from Sears, Roebuck and Company after 20 plus years of employment. Prior to that, Keith worked as an over the road truck driver for several years. Keith was not only a part time farmer while doing his fulltime job, he was also a “Mr. Fix It” and one all around family handyman. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying special fishing trips with his grandchildren, family and friends. Keith was hardworking, strong willed, loving and devoted grandfather to Michaela and Caleb Howard. Keith is survived by his wife Darlene Rae (Henderson) Johansen of 47 years, his daughters Tammie Johansen (Bill Wipfler) of Chicago, Illinois, Nicole Johansen of Remus, Michigan, grandchildren Caleb Howard of Remus, Michigan, and Michaela Howard of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Sharon Henderson and several beloved nieces and nephews. Keith was proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers Dale Johansen and Craig Johansen and two special pets, Woody and Jasper. Per Keith’s request there will be no services.
