Obituary of Samson Yehdego

Samson Yehdego, age 70, of Kaiser, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at his home in Kaiser. Samson was born on February 15, 1950 in Asmara, Eritrea to his father Yehdego Lema and his mother Meteku Tesfay. He was raised in a very caring and loving family that included five sisters and two brothers. Samson was the youngest child in the family. He completed his elementary and middle school in Asmara and moved to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to complete high school. He immigrated to the United States to attend college in the late 1960s. Samson attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. At Lincoln University, Samson attained his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and master’s degree in sociology. After completing his higher education, he worked at restaurants and small businesses for a few years and then moved to Osage Beach, Missouri, a resort city. He worked at Tan-Tara/Marriott hotel in the hotel’s hospitably business for more than 30 years. Samson was a very respectful, considerate, kind and loving man to every person. He was a gentleman in the truest sense and very much loved by his family, friends, his neighbors and coworkers. He is survived by his sisters Netzanet Yehdego, Lemelem Yehdego and Zewdi Yehdego and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Samson will be truly be missed Samson, especially his sincere beautiful smile. Rest in peace sweet angel. His entire family is very thankful to the few friends, relatives and coworkers who will be able to attend his funeral despite the current travel restrictions and health crises in the country. We are grateful. The family would also like to thank the residential community, Hedges Scott Funeral Homes, and everyone for the graciousness, consideration, and help extended to arrange his funeral.
