Obituary of Margaret Ann Heinz

Margaret Ann Heinz, age 81, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. Margaret was born on January 28, 1939 in Roby, Texas to Lora and Floyd Cox. Margaret and her family moved to National City, California around her high school years, where she attended Sweetwater High School and met her high school sweetheart and future husband, James Ronald Heinz, Sr. On July 3, 1957, Margaret and James were married in San Diego, California. Both began working for Rohr Industries, where Margaret worked for a while. They had three children, James, Lori and Tamara while living in National City. Margaret enjoyed volunteering at the elementary school in the classrooms and working with all the children. During the evenings and weekends, she enjoyed going with the family to the community ballpark while all her children played baseball and softball and she was able to visit with all the neighbors. Margaret loved traveling during vacations and seeing America’s natural sights, doing word search, and cross stich, and any time she could spend with her grand-children or playing board games with family and friends. She always looked forward to Christmas and her cousin, Gabe and Sue playing Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause for all the grandchildren each year. Nothing pleased her more than visiting with family and friends and she could never let go when her son and daughter would fly in on special occasions to see her. She always enjoyed visiting with close friends like Oly and Sara who were always around when she needed them. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Ronald Heinz, Sr. Margaret is survived by her children, James Ronald Heinz, Jr., spouse Sue Heinz, daughter Lori Ann DeWitt, husband Allen De Witt, and daughter Tamara Jean Giedd, spouse Timothy Giedd; along with her six grandchildren Justin and Amy Heinz, Brian and Mathew DeWitt and KayLynn and Tyler Giedd; her 2 great-grandchildren; sister; nieces; nephews and friends. Inurnment will be held at Lake Memorial Scattering Garden in Osage Beach, Missouri.
