Obituary of George D. Quigley

George D. Quigley, age 85, of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Macks Creek, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Missouri. George was born March 23, 1935 in Lexington, Missouri, the son of Luther Edward and Juanita (Drake) Quigley. He was united in marriage to Charlene Salmon, who preceded him in death, February 18, 2010. George lived a simple, but good life, working hard as a carpenter. He enjoyed watching old western movies and spending time with family. George is survived by daughters, Sarah Beth Carlsen of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Leah Marie King and husband, Jason, of Merritt Island, Florida. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Juanita Quigley; his wife, Charlene; his son, Quincy Allen Quigley; his brother, L.E. Quigley; and his sister, Alma Taylor. Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Little Niangua Cemetery.
