Obituary of Phyllis Marie (Pentecost) Morris

Phyllis Marie (Pentecost) Morris, age 66, of Camdenton, Missouri died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 29, 2020 after a short battle with metastatic lung cancer. Phyllis was born the daughter of Howard and Mildred Pentecost on February 21, 1954 in Algona, Iowa. She graduated from Algona High School. For over 40 years, the Lake of the Ozarks has been her home. She worked as a realtor for almost 20 years and was respected and loved by many of her clients and colleagues. Phyllis’s hobbies included spending time with family, enjoying life at the lake, fishing, and doing various arts and crafts. She had a passion for all kinds of art. She loved to paint, make jewelry, decorative signs, and soap, and most of all loved when her granddaughter joined her to craft. Family was very important to Phyllis. Her daughter, Jade, worked in real estate with Phyllis, and Phyllis had just recently begun training her grandson, Connor, in real estate as well. She was thrilled to have both daughters living at the Lake of the Ozarks with her for the past 7 years. She is survived by her life partner of 17 years, John Tilleman, daughters Angela (Mark) Thill of Camdenton and Jade (Kevin) Sellers of Camdenton, brother Denny (Sheri) Pentecost of Coppell, TX, grandsons Joe (Bergen) Schattschneider of Ames, IA, Logan (Kelsey) Thill of Forest City, IA, Connor Thill of Camdenton, granddaughter Imogen Sellers of Camdenton. She was also beloved by her partner’s children, Brittany (Sean) Williams of Oakland, California, Storee (Eoin) Quinn of Woodlawn, Ireland, and JonPaul (Jocelyn) Tilleman of Emeryville, CA; and her granddaughters Luna Williams, Abigail Quinn, and Daylee Quinn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mildred (Loss) Pentecost. No formal services will be held. Phyllis instead wanted her family and friends to celebrate her life with a celebration of life, which will be announced at a later date.
