Obituary of Rosemarie Forest

Rosemarie Forest, age 87, of Four Seasons, Missouri passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at her home in Four Seasons. Rosemarie was born January 21, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (Bilek) Valha. On December 29, 1951, Rosemarie was united in marriage to Walter Thomas Forest in Chicago, Illinois. They shared 59 years together when Walter preceded her in death on February 27, 2011. Rosemarie worked for many years at the hospital as an EKG Technician. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and was very active in the church. She enjoyed playing cards and being out on the lake riding in the boat. She gave her time to any good cause. She loved knitting for her grandchildren. Rosemarie is survived by her children, Kathy Gunn and husband Henry of Atlanta, Georgia, Greg Forest and wife Kari of Claremore, Oklahoma, Ken Forest and wife Renee of Atlanta, Georgia, and 6 grandchildren Tracy, Michael, Chris, Jessica, Lori, and Brad; 4 great-grandchildren Tori, Abby, Savannah, and Daniel; and 1 great-great-grandchild Cora. Rosemarie was preceded in death by her husband Walter Forest, parents Frank and Mildred Valha, sister Dolores Sajtar, and brother-in-law Richard Sajtar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, June 12, 2020 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Lake Memorial Gardens, Osage Beach, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to Hope House in Lake Ozark, Missouri. Donations can be mailed to Hope House of Miller County, P.O. Box 2381, Lake Ozark, Missouri 65049.
