Obituary of Dudley Galen Day

Dudley Galen Day, age 85, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2020 surrounded by love and family at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri following a long battle of injury and illness. Dudley was born on February 10, 1935 in Merriam, Kansas, the son of Dudley and Helen (Stockwell) Day. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Day on September 6, 1953. They shared 61 years of marriage and had three children. He was an awesome, loving dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Dudley was an amazing, caring, loving dad. A legend of the game of golf. He truly loved the game and was always willing to share his knowledge of the game to anyone who needed it. Dudley is survived his three children Karen Kahrs, Peggy Trinkle and her husband Greg, and Chris Day and his wife Julie; six grandchildren Brady and Addisyn Day, Andrea (Kahrs) Weiss and her husband Chris, Dustin Trinkle and his wife Lindsay, Joshua Trinkle and his wife Meranda, and Kellianne (Trinkle) Redus and her husband Darrell; eight great-grandchildren Emma Weiss, Luke Trinkle, Hank Trinkle, Samantha Trinkle, Isabella Trinkle, Gabrielle Trinkle, Cameron Redus, and Greyson Redus. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jeanette; his parents Dudley and Helen Day; and one son-in-law John Kahrs. His family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. In lieu of flowers the family’s wish is for donations to be made to Missouri Golf Association Junior Division, 2415 Hyde Park Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109.
