Obituary of Raymond James Young

Raymond James Young, age 82, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at his home in Camdenton. Raymond was born August 29, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Louis (Lichtenberg) Young. Raymond was united in marriage to Virginia Viola Crosser. They shared many years together before she preceded him in death on February 24, 2012. Raymond proudly served in the United States Navy for 13 years. He then worked for 32 years at General Motors. He enjoyed spending time reading and doing puzzles. Raymond is survived by his children Kirk Young of Camdenton, Missouri, Karl Young and wife Dorothy of Camdenton, Missouri, Kandy Thomas of Camdenton, Missouri, Kelly Holbrock and husband Randell of Graceville, Kentucky, and Karla Holmes and husband Paul of Lansing, Michigan; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Alan Young of Miami, Florida and James Young of Wyoming. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents John and Louis Young; his wife Virginia Young; daughters Kim Larson and Karen Lee; brother Roger Young; and 1 grandchild.
