Obituary of Dolores G. Mehl

Dolores “Dee” G. Mehl, age 84, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Dee was born June 18, 1936 in Princeton, New Jersey, the daughter of Eugene and Mary (Johnson) Larson. Dee worked for 23 years as an advocate for Citizens Against Domestic Violence, where she thought of her co-workers as her second family. She loved spending time with her family, and she enjoyed raising her great-grandson Reese Esqueda. She also liked traveling, going on cruises, going to casinos, and enjoying a cup of coffee. Dee is survived by her significant other Larry Headley of Camdenton, Missouri; son Edward “Rusty” Mehl III (Brenda K. Foster) of Camdenton, Missouri; daughters Jan Rothove (Jerry) of Camdenton, Missouri and Tracy Paine of Camdenton, Missouri; 7 grandchildren Eric Hertzler, Jason Dodd, Buddy Mehl, Melissa Valtos, Kari Rivera, Karli Vanbibber, and Thomas Vanbibber; 22 great-grandchildren; sister Judy Kleuser of Gravois Mills, Missouri; and her fur babies Maggie, Scooby, and granddog Sam. Dee was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Mary Larson and her brother Ron Larson. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020 prior to services at the funeral home. The family requests that those who attend the services follow the guidelines of the CDC and local health department by maintaining social distancing. For your safety and others, the family is asking everyone to please wear a mask. Interment will be held at Mistwood Cemetery.
