Obituary of David Charles Sandlin
David Charles Sandlin, age 76, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his home in Camdenton.
David was born on May 23, 1944 in Boise, Idaho, the son of Vernon and Margaret (Daugherty) Sandlin.
David proudly served in the United States Navy. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing for trout. He also liked to travel and read. David touched many lives. He was a born again Christian and loved The Lord.
David is survived by his sons David Sandlin (Lisa) of Greer, South Carolina and Todd Sandlin (Erica) of Osage Beach, Missouri; daughter Denise Maher (Chris) of Lake Ozark, Missouri; step-daughter Tara Benefel (Doug) of Chickamauga, Georgia; step-son Andy Hough of Lebanon, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson along with other family members and numerous friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Margaret Sandlin and his sister Anita Yeckel.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” event on Sunday, August 23, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Jack’s Sporting Goods and Hardware located at 1289 East Hwy 54, Camdenton Missouri, 65020.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
