Obituary of Charles David Barnes

Charles “Charlie” David Barnes, age 78, of Kaiser, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Osage Beach Health Care Center, in Osage Beach, Missouri. Charlie was born October 24, 1941 in Camden County, Missouri, the son of William Kingston and Beulah E. (Eaken) Barnes. On June 3, 1962, Charlie was united in marriage to Phyllis Nadine Burnett in Camdenton, Missouri. They shared 58 years together at the time of his passing. Charlie Owned and Operated Barnes Marine in Kaiser for 36 years. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan. Charlie is survived by his wife Phyllis Barnes of the home; son Keith David Barnes of Kaiser, Missouri; daughter Anita Sharee Barnes-Cook and husband Darrell of Kaiser, Missouri; 4 grandchildren Ashley Ray and husband Daryl, Haley Cook, Matthew Barnes, and Destiny Schaumburg; 1 great-granddaughter Zoe Barnes; and many other relatives and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents William and Beulah Barnes. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.
