Obituary of Kathlyn Scott

Kathlyn (Kathy) Scott, age 83, of Brumley, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Eldon Nursing and Rehabilitation in Eldon, Missouri. Kathy was born August 18, 1937 in Harrisburg, Missouri, the daughter of Wendell and Ruth (Bailey) Payne. On June 3, 1970, Kathlyn was united in marriage to Emmett F. Scott in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared nearly 48 years together at the time he preceded her in death on May 26, 2018. Kathy owned Kathy’s Cleaning Service for 30 years in the Osage Beach and Lake Ozark area. She was a pet lover, especially dogs and cats. When she was a teenager she loved spending time with her horse Kitty. Kathlyn loved being outside and enjoying nature. Kathy is survived by her sons Randy Eastman of Kaiser, Missouri and Ronney Eastman of Salem, Missouri; daughters Sharon Luttrell and husband Tim of Brumley, Missouri and Rhonda Eastman of Osage Beach, Missouri; 4 grandchildren Joshua Luttrell and wife Hannah, Shelynna Luttrell, James Eastman and wife Winter, and Kodi Eastman; great-grandson Warren Luttrell sister Louise Bottino and husband Joe of Columbia, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Wendell and Ruth Payne; her husband Emmett Scott; son Rene Eastman; brother Larry Payne; and sister Betty Ann Welch. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 21, 2020 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 pm on Friday, August 21, 2020 prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery in Kaiser, Missouri.
