Obituary of Betty L. Smith

Betty L. Smith, 81, of Lynn, Indiana formerly of Camdenton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in Richmond, Indiana. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Troy B. Smith, dear mother of Troy B. Smith, Jr., Edward (Linda) Smith, Debra (Ray) Slick, Vernon Smith. She was the dear grandmother of 8, great-grandmother of 12, and great-great- grandmother of 1. Born in Granite City, Ilinois, Betty and her husband Troy Sr., raised their family in Edwardsville and Granite City, Illinois. In 1985, they moved to Camdenton, Missouri. Betty owned and operated Lake University of Cosmetology for several years. In 2013 she retired to Indiana to be near her daughter, Debbie. Betty’s life was a reflection of her energetic, adventurous, brave and loving spirit. She touched the lives of those who knew and loved her in her own unique and special way. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Big Niangua Church Cemetery in Roach, Missouri.
