Obituary of Troy B. Smith, Jr.

Troy B. Smith, Jr., 62, of Lynn, Indiana formerly of Camdenton, Missouri passed away August 26, 2020 in Richmond, Indiana. Troy was born December 4, 1957 in Granite City, Illinois, the son of the late Troy B. Smith, Sr. and the late Betty L. Smith. Troy was the beloved brother of Edward (Linda) Smith, Debra (Ray) Slick and Vernon Smith and dearest uncle, great uncle and friend to everyone he met. Troy’s fun-loving spirit and devotion to family was at the heart of who he was. He loved family gatherings, a good joke, and always had a good story to tell. If you were one of the lucky siblings, clan of cousins or childhood friends who made it into one of his stories, you knew you were of high ranking in his heart. He loved to horseplay, listen to music, watch old movies, and find and collect things. He never passed a coin on the ground without stopping to pick it up. What Troy treasured most was his family. And his family treasured him, as did everyone whose lives he touched. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Big Niangua Church Cemetery in Roach, Missouri.
