Obituary of Dawn Marie Mueller

Dawn Marie Mueller, age 64, of Camdenton, Missouri, formerly from Watertown, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020, at her home. Dawn was born on September 27, 1955, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Marvin and Lorraine (Lemmer) Viegut. On February 5, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dawn was united in marriage to Arthur Mueller. They shared 24 years together at the time of her passing. Dawn and Art lived in Watertown, Minnesota, until their retirement in 2018, when they moved to St. Paul, Kansas, prior to moving to Missouri in 2019. Being a devout Catholic, Dawn’s faith was her anchor, as she often spent quiet time reflecting while on her porch swing. She enjoyed spending time on the boat and planning many landscaping projects in the yard for Art to complete. She was often watching the birds that would come and visit the many bird feeders they placed around the yard. She loved looking for a good deal at the store or online, as she enjoyed shopping. As an avid Green Bay Packers fan, football season was always interesting, being married to a Minnesota Vikings fan. Her all-time favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz, and collecting memorabilia, particularly while living in Kansas, was a favorite pastime. She enjoyed the different holidays, as she loved to decorate for each one, Christmas being her favorite. Ever the entertainer and caretaker, she put great effort into planning and preparing meals for family visits - her most requested items were her famous Chex Mix and stuffing! Dawn is survived by her husband Arthur Mueller of the home; her daughters Michelle Buyatt of Chaska, Minnesota, and Kristy Mueller and grandson Colton of St. Paul, Kansas; her brother John (Linda) Viegut of Baraboo, Wisconsin; her sisters Dorothy (Larry) Hanson of Sussex, Wisconsin, and Mary (David) Scarce of Westfield, Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Lorraine Viegut. Dawn will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her, including her two furry, four-legged companions Rylee and Jordy. She will be remembered for her laugher, smile, and generous heart. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Father Sam Pinkerton at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul, Kansas, on Friday, September 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. The Rosary will be prayed prior to Mass, beginning at 9:30 a.m. A graveside service and burial, presided by Father Matthew Widder, will take place at Genesse Cemetery (W303 S5078 Seville Lane) in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
