Obituary of Jack C. Campbell
Jack C. Campbell, age 82, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.
Jack was born July 2, 1938 in Hartford, Iowa, son of Robert and Esther (Cummings) Campbell.
On October 3, 1964, Jack married his lifelong love, Janice Terrill, in Chapin, Iowa. They shared 55 years together at the time of his passing.
Jack lived in the Des Moines area for many years. He worked for Hicklin Engineering for more than 30 years in the sales department and as the sales manager. After moving to the lake, Jack worked at Casey’s for 14 years. He also served as the Distribution Manager for LO Profile at the inception of the magazine and continued to support it until his passing.
Jack never met a stranger and could build a connection with anyone he met. Jack was an ambassador for the lake and could make anyone love it. He loved boating and fishing but the friends he made during his time on the water were the best part of all. Jack loved tinkering around with about anything. He loved traveling and seeing new places. He was a longtime member of Harper Chapel United Methodist Church and quietly supported many activities at the church. More than anything, Jack’s greatest treasure was his family. The Campbell clan roots run deep and he treasured his extended family near and far. That love was no more evident than with his wife, his kids, and his grandkids who he absolutely adored.
Jack is survived by his wife Jan Campbell of the home; son Jeff Campbell (Jill Bucaro) of Pasadena, California; daughter Julie Green (John) of Springfield, Illinois; 5 grandchildren Zach, Brianna, Adam, Drew, and Simon; and 1 great-grandchild Adalee. He is also survived by his brother Curtis Keith Campbell (Jackie) of Seward, Alaska and sister Margaret Ann Schoonover of Wapello, Iowa as well as extended family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Esther Campbell and brother Robert Kenneth Campbell.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to services at the church.
Memorial donations are suggested to Harper Chapel United Methodist Church.
