Obituary of Richard K. Topel

Richard K. Topel, age 85, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Arrowhead Senior Living Retirement Community in Osage Beach. Richard was born on April 15, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Hattie (Boecker) Topel. On September 28, 1956, Richard was united in marriage to Anita Goss in Chicago, Illinois. Richard worked for 20 years in Chicago at Ready Metal as a sheet metal research and development manger. After moving to the Lake area, he owned Lake Edge Resort for 22 years. He also worked at Dogwood Golf Course in his later years. Richard enjoyed going out golfing and bowling. He also enjoyed hard work and any work he could do with his hands. Richard is survived by his wife Anita Topel of the home; son Richard A. Topel of Osage Beach, Missouri; 2 grandchildren Mac Topel and wife Taylor and Crystal Neuman and husband Joe; 4 great-grandchildren Kinsley Topel, Jessa Topel, Camryn, and Kayla; and many other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Hattie Topel; son Scott Topel; and daughter Cathy Topel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Hope Lutheran Chapel in Osage Beach, Missouri. Inurnment will be held at Lake Memorial Gardens in Osage Beach, Missouri.
