Obituary of Charles J. Deibel

Charles J. (Bud) Deibel, age 89, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. Charles was born October 6, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of John and Hazel (Kauerschmidt) Deibel. He was united in marriage to Nancy C. Mellow on October 6, 1962. They shared 46 years of marriage at the time she preceded him in death on May 13, 2009. Charles worked for Emerson Electric for 44 years. He enjoyed watching Cardinals Baseball and was an avid fan. He also enjoyed traveling to new places. More than anything, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He found great joy in playing with his grandchildren and especially loved to play cars with them. Charles is survived by his 3 sons Robert Thomas Lindner and wife Linda of Camdenton, Missouri, John Arthur Lindner and wife Donna of Dubuque, Iowa, and Charlie John Deibel and wife Christina of Osage Beach, Missouri; daughter Sandra Sue Larabee-Cravens and husband Tom of Roach, Missouri; son-in-law Michael Fisher of Florissant, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Hank Deibel of Potosi, Missouri and Bobby Deibel of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters Sally Higgins of St. Louis, Missouri, Pat Green of St. Charles, Missouri, and Freda Lu Worley of Sikeston, Missouri; along with several other relatives and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Deibel; parents John and Hazel Deibel; son Dennis Chris Lindner and wife Dianna; daughter Nancy Carole Fisher; son-in-law Jerry Larabee; and Sister Shirley Sutton. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to service time. Family are asking that masks be worn. Interment will be held at Hedges Cemetery, Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations are suggested to The Dementia Society or The Alzheimer’s Association.
