Obituary of William Eugene Webster Sr.

William (Bill) Eugene Webster Sr. was born September 6, 1936 in Camdenton, Missouri in the Water Tower 2nd floor at Ha Ha Tonka State Park. He departed this life Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at age 84 years and 23 days at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was one of 7 children by Floy L. Webster and Bessie C. Jones Morrison. On May 10, 1961, in Camdenton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Donna Lea Seaton. To this union two children were born. Together they shared 48 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents Bessie Morrison and Floy Webster; his wife Donna Webster; and his siblings James Webster, Malcom (Mac) Webster, Dolly Doreen, Louise Rooffener, and Patricia (Pat) Filla. Survivors include his sister JoAnn Wood of Yukon, Oklahoma; his brother Don Morrison of Kansas City, Missouri; his son William Webster Jr of St. Louis, Missouri; his daughter Denise Heins and husband Dave of Bluffton, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Josh and Jennifer; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bill was raised in Camdenton and aside from a few years in Iowa, spent his entire life in Camden County. He lived in the same home together with his wife for over forty years where they lovingly raised their children. Bill worked in many professions during his life, but was mainly a Drywaller where he owned his own company for many years. One of his proudest moments was when he became an ordained Baptist Minister where he professed and taught the word of our Lord for over 35 years actively and continually influencing the lives of people via the word of God till the very end. Bill was a very talented musician who loved to play the acoustic guitar, banjo and sing with his wife of many years. Bill, Donna, and other band members like Dale, Calvin, and Linda to name a few, celebrated the word of the Lord through song over 35 years at various churches, benefits and fairs. Bill and Donna shared a love of fishing and continued with that hobby until they both were unable to continue fishing. Bill volunteered his time assisting with classification of purchases where he met the Thomas family and became very close with Karen, Gene and their children, which ultimately led to his new passion of pocket knife collecting. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life, accomplishments, spiritual impacts and will treasure the memories he created for family and friends.
