Obituary of Jacqueline Maples Serna James
Jacqueline Sue Maples Serna James, 57, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away at home on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
Jackie was born in Iberia, Missouri on December 11, 1962. She went to Iberia High School and graduated in 1980. She went on to earn a degree from the University of Columbia majoring in Forensic Science & Psychology. She worked as a Nurse in California and after moving back to Missouri, Jackie spent her years in the Osage Beach area as a home-maker and care taker for her family.
Jackie enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts, wind chimes and handmade art work depicting the sun and moon. She was always available as a trained listening ear to talk and counsel anyone who needed her. She was a woman of prayer, loved everybody, and had a great sense of humor.
Jackie is survived by her husband Kevin James, her sons Christopher and Daniel Serna, her mother Sue Serna, her father, her brother Joe Bob Serna, and her half-brother Jacob Maples. She was preceded in death by her grandma Eunice and her step father.
A celebration of Jackie’s life for family and friends will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2020. This gathering will be held at an Eldon residence located at 191 VFW Road.
