Obituary of Charles Otis Foster Jr.

Charles Otis Foster Jr., age 72, of Ulman, Missouri, after a life well lived, went to be with Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Charlie, a.k.a. CO, was born in Piggott, Arkansas on October 18, 1948. He was preceded in death by his father Charles “Otis” Foster Sr.; mother Bessie Helms Foster; and his brothers AJ and Howard Schultz. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna Foster. The two journeyed through life together as partners for 41 years. Charlie is also survived by his ex-wife Bonnie Boyd; his daughter Charla Springer (husband Jimmy); sons Chance Foster and Charlie Knoll; step-sons John Jackson (wife Faith) and Drew Thomas (fiancé Angela Wimsatt); grandchildren Matthew Foster, Nathanael Hicks (wife Shannon), Hannah Smith (husband Brian), Max Thomas, William Wimsatt, Elle Wimsatt, Bailey, Noah, and Brody Jackson; great grandchildren Maddilyn, MaKinna, and Beniah Hicks; and many friends. Charlie was a meat cutter for over 32 years working for National Foods and other grocery stores. He was a hard working gentle man who loved his family deeply and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating, and hunting. Everyone who knew CO, even if only for a short time, immediately realized his kind and gracious nature. All of his family and friends will sorely miss him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2:30 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family requested that any memorial donations be sent to the Salvation Army in his name.
