Lois Grawe

Obituary of Lois Agnes Grawe

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Agnes (Becker) Grawe, of Linn Creek, Missouri. She died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Lois was born on October 6, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri and was the daughter of Louis and Agnes (Schmidt) Becker (predeceased) and sister of Robert Becker. She attended Beaumont High School in St. Louis. Following graduation, she was employed as a Histology Technician at Washington University and later at St. John’s Mercy Hospital (now Mercy Hospital). She was grateful to have had a career that she loved. While employed full-time, she worked towards her bachelor’s degree. She retired on June 1, 2007. On June 2, 2007, Lois and Leonard moved to Linn Creek, Missouri. One of their greatest joys was living on the lake. They enjoyed many hours on their boat and relaxing on the dock. Lois was an active member and later treasurer at Hope Lutheran Chapel and a dedicated volunteer and President of the Board of the Osage Beach Senior Center. Lois was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, cat mother, and friend. She loved travel, photography, genealogy research, all water activities, socializing with friends, and collecting wind chimes. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Leonard; daughters, Vicky Kory and husband Mark, and Elaine Grawe; grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Lauren Kory Ansari, Nichole Grantham (predeceased), Danielle Kory Roman, and Austin Kory; and great-grandchildren, Alexa Smith, Lily Smith, and Ashlyna Smith. Lois will be lovingly missed by her husband, family, friends, and the community. She will live on in our hearts. Memorial donations may be made to Hope Lutheran Chapel. Visitation will be held at 9:00am, Monday, January 4, 2021, with Services at 10:00am at Hope Lutheran Chapel. Interment immediately following at Hedges Cemetery.
