Obituary of George A. Cartwright

George A. Cartwright better known as 'Bango', age 65, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Bango was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 5, 1955 to Alice Merley and Isaac Cartwright. On May 27, 1978 Bango was united in marriage to Shirley McGuire in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They shared 41 years together before she preceded him in death on May 19, 2020. Bango managed WCA for 14 years and owned D&D Trash Services, a waste management company, for 2 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and doing woodwork. He also enjoyed watching dirt track racing and NASCAR. Bango was a man that enjoyed working and keeping himself busy. Bango was preceded in death by his parents Alice Merley and Isaac Cartwright; his wife Shirley Cartwright; his son Jeffery D. Cartwright; his daughter Sara Main; and his brothers Robert, Gary, and Milton. He is survived by his children; a son, Dustin Cartwright and daughter in law Adrianne Cartwright of Camdenton, Missouri; another son, Leonard N. Cartwright of Lebanon, Missouri; his daughter Francine Manning, and son in law Cody Manning of Climax Springs, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his brothers Roger Cartwright and David Masterson; his sisters Linda Hamilton and Norma Cartwright; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The Family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 - 1:30 pm prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
