Obituary of Tom Marshall

Tom Marshall, age 85, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. Tom was born September 15, 1935 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was the son of Vern and Mildred Marshall. On July 2, 1967 in Dallas, Texas, Tom was united in marriage to Valerie Sterling who preceded him in death June 16, 2015. They had shared nearly 48 years together as husband and wife at the time of her death. Tom served his country proudly as a pilot in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He earned the rank of Major during his military career and had accomplished several notable feats, including being the first pilot to fly the F86 Sabre. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Oklahoma and held a patent for the F15. He followed his military service with a career in aerospace engineering. Tom is survived by his sons, Mark "Bo" Moren Marshall and wife, LeeAnndra, of Ridgefield, Washington and Thomas "TG" Gibson Marshall of St. Louis, Missouri; his daughters Terrisa Thompson of Texas and Tracy Henry and husband, Mike, of Colorado; seven grandchildren, Jedadiah Marshall, Caleb Marshall, Keziah Marshall, Samantha Thompson, Trent Thompson, Devin Henry and Nikolas Henry; along with other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lake Ozark Christian Church, 1560 Bagnell Dam Blvd., Lake Ozark, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 12:00-1:00 pm prior to services at the church. Entombment will follow at Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Praying Hands Mausoleum, Osage Beach, Missouri. Memorial donations are suggested to Lake Ozark Christian Church.
