Obituary of James C. Adams, Jr.

James C. Adams, Jr. passed in peace on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 4:41 pm at the age of 85. James (Jimmy) was the son of the late James C. and Noel Adams, and was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 1, 1935. He grew up on a farm in Jefferson, Oregon. He attended college for two years, then began working in the software development industry for the television editing industry in Hollywood. Traveling around the world for business, he gained a passion for the international style of living. After moving to Salt Lake City in 1981, James met his soulmate, Vickie Viertel Lindsay. They were united in holy matrimony on January 1, 1982. He and his wife started an electronic sign business, designing both the software and hardware. Jim and his crew installed lighted advertising signs in Utah, Nevada, and California. Jim and his family have also lived in Nevada, Illinois, Kansas City, and at Lake of the Ozarks. Jimmy was the loving father of Kelly Adams Williams, Mark Adams, Dawna Adams Wunder, and Melissa Lindsay. Jim was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several cats. James will be cremated and returned home to his wife. There will be no services at this time. A reunion to celebrate his remarkable life will be held sometime this summer.
