Obituary of Cheryl D. Liley

Cheryl D. “Gunny” Liley, age 69, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 25 , 2021 in Macks Creek, Missouri. She was born on February 5, 1951 in Raytown, Missouri the daughter of Bernard “Mel” and Florence Alberta Davis. Gunny worked in food services at Lake Regional Health System for over 25 years. She loved bird watching, her cats and dogs, watching TV and spending time with her son, Don. Gunny also enjoyed gardening and going to Bennett Springs. Gunny is survived by her son Don Liley and girlfriend Christy Pitts, and her ex daughter-in-law Kendra Thornton; three grandchildren, Brianna Thornton, Austin Thornton and Colton Thornton. She was preceded in death by her parents Mel and Alberta Davis. Celebration of Life visitation will be held Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 2:00--4:00 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.
