Obituary of Hannah Cecilia Besaw

Hannah Cecilia Besaw, wife of William “Bill" Besaw of Macks Creek, Missouri, was born January 23, 1930 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to George and Penina Trumpour. Her siblings included Georgia, Grace, Arthur, Loyal, Richard, Thomas, Althea, and Alice all previously deceased. 

She was married to William L. Besaw on July 17, 1948 in Locke, New York.  Joyful entry into heaven in Osage Beach, Missouri was on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Hannah and Bill were married 72 years serving the Lord in different ministries together, including in New Tribes Missions and several local churches. 

Her children include son Raymond Besaw, deceased; and surviving family members daughter Rita and husband Phillip Davenport of Topeka, Kansas along with 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; son Ronald Besaw and friend Wanda Campbell of Mack Creek, Missouri along with 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and daughter Renée and husband Mike Kingston of Macks Creek, Missouri with 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Grandchildren include Sarah and Aaron Ragle with great grandchildren Emma, Cace, and Ridley; grandchildren Grant Davenport and Brandy Burnett with great grandchildren Vincent and Jayse; grandchildren Rachel and Robert Buske with great grandchild Austin; grandchildren Ranita and Shannon Burris with great grandchildren Noah Simmonds and Saige Simmonds; grandchildren Josh and Hope Kingston with great grandchildren Brionna ,Gaven, Rhys, and Lily; and grandchildren Michael and Heather Kingston. Also surviving are many nephews, nieces, and many friends who became family. 

Hannah previously resided in upper New York State, having lived in Locke before becoming a longtime Missouri resident living in both Roach and Macks Creek, Missouri. 

Hannah is a born again Christian and Jesus is her joy, hope of salvation, friend, and Lord.  To meet Hannah was to know someone who revealed God’s love, a person on who you could depend, and someone who would accept you as a close friend even if you just met!  

Her pass times included a love for Christian music, dancing, traveling, along with spending time with friends and family.  She spent hours enjoying word puzzles and her second home seemingly was Walmart buzzing along in an electric cart.  The electric cart was her freedom in later life when mobility issues tried to slow her down!  She enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation and she was as much of a social person as anyone you would ever meet.  Her friendliness and love transcended normal boundaries and to meet her was to find a new friend.

Previous employment included the Smith Corona Typewriter Factory in New York, the Camdenton United Super bakery department, and as a missionary for New Tribes Mission. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Hedges-Scott Fuenral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.
