The the family of Mr. Steffen, We are sadly just hearing the news of Mr. Steffens passing. My husband and I had the great honor of getting to know him a little while our company was working on the docks, for the association at Grand View. I had the pleasure of meeting Diane once while visiting the house to collect a deposit for a job and during that visit he showed me all of the art in the house and said how proud he was of his wife for selling her blankets on eBay for a killing. I can still recite the potato joke perfectly because he told it to me every time he called the office :) Curt wrote one of the nicest and most notable testimonials we have received to date and helped me figure out an insurance issue I was having. It was an honor to work for him and get to know him in that short time and he will be greatly missed by all of us that crossed his path. What a special, special man! My husband, Tom, and I worked with A. Curt Steffen at Peralta and, indeed, the stories Curt told and inspired are still told today after many years apart. When Tom died, Curt called me and assured me that if ever I needed anything at all, he would provide it; and I have always believed he would have. We had many laughs in the Office of the Chancellor instigated by Curt. Best laugh of any day was to compliment Curt's tie and have him tell you that it matched his briefs and offer to show you. Never a dull moment! Never a forgotten friend! I am saddened to hear he is gone, but hope he and my Tommy and Miss Norma are all now together reminiscing, as we are, about good times and good, good friends. RIP, dear Curt. You are loved and missed. And dear Dianne, thank you for keeping us in touch with Curt over the past years. I know your memories will sustain you as you grieve his loss. Peggy Fryer
