Obituary of James A. Heming

James A. Heming, age 77, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Mississippi Valley Nursing Home in Keokuk, Iowa.

 

Jim was born July 27, 1943 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Donald and Mildred (Gengenbacher) Heming.

 

On July 11, 1969 in Maryville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Pauline Gilbert.  They shared  51 years together as husband and wife at the time of his death.

 

Jim served his country proudly, both in the United States Navy and the United States Army.  Following his honorable discharge, Jim was self-employed and worked for the majority of his life in construction. When he wasn't hard at work, he enjoyed spending days outdoors fishing.

 

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Pauline; three sons, James Heming and wife, Angela, of Preston, Missouri, Donald Heming and wife, Angela, of Lacey, Washington, and Andrew Daniel of Florida; a daughter, Sara Eisenkramer, of Vienna, Austria; his brother, Denny Heming and wife, Sandy; his sisters, Pam Guilfoyle and husband, Paul, Cindy Toomey, and Sharon Pullian; his sister-in-law Betty Heming; and 9 grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Mildred Heming; and one brother, Larry Heming.

 

Visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00pm, Monday, March 1, 2021,  at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.

 

Graveside service and Interment will follow at Macks Creek Cemetery.

 

Memorial donations may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
