Obituary of Diona Loree Hargrave

Diona “Dee” Loree Hargrave, 69, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her home.  She was born November 6, 1951 in Glendale, Arizona, the daughter of Betty Williams and Clovis Weaver both of whom have preceded her in death.

On November 1, 2008 she married the love of her life, Joseph “Jojo” Hargrave. They shared 9 amazing years of marriage before Jojo’s unexpected passing. She missed him dearly.

Dee had gone to nursing school and received her LPN but never practiced. She had a love for cooking and had once owned her own diner and worked for many local restaurants. She never had children of her own but considered Chris and Kerri Whitehurst her children.

Dee was an amazing friend and “mother figure” to many. She had such a caring heart and would help anyone she could. She enjoyed camping, singing, and just being around good people. She will be missed greatly.

Survivors include her brother Scott Winter of California, Missouri, 2 aunts, 1 uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

Dee’s wish was to be cremated and her family will carry out her wish.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
