Obituary of Orville W. Stoeber

Orville W. Stoeber, age 103, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, Missouri.

Orville was born October 10, 1917 in Belleville, Illinois, the son of Henry and Guilda (Vogt) Stoeber.

Orville proudly served his country in the United States Army in WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. He loved being in the military. While in service, he received a bronze star. He was a past district VFW Commander and a past Commander of VFW Post 4107. He was also a member of the 32-degree Shriner Masonic Lodge Lake Ozark, member of the Elks Lodge 2517 Osage Beach, past president of the Linn Creek Lions Club, and on the Osage Beach Planning Board and Adjustment.

Orville is survived by his wife Mamie Dittemore and son Orville Wayne Stoeber and companion Phoebe Larmare.

Orville was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Keller Stoeber on August 4, 2005. Also preceding him in death was his brother Kenny Stoeber and sister Fern Hettenhausen.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Lake Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to graveside services at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.
