Obituary of Freda Mae Patterson

Freda Mae Patterson passed Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. 

Freda was born on March 6, 1931 in Brumley, Missouri to Allie & Alma (Keeth) Plemmons.  She was raised with her eight brothers and three sisters (Curtis, Bertie, Wayne, Gail, Noel (Todd), Norma Jean, Dorrel (Duke), Troy, Doris, Terry, and Jerry) on the family farm in Brumley, Missouri. 

Freda lived in Kansas City most of her working life before retiring to her farm in Iberia, Missouri.  She eventually moved to Lebanon, Missouri where her late husband Wendell Patterson and she lived for several years until his passing in 2017.   

Freda was proceeded in death by her parents, grandparents, her husband William (Wendell) Patterson, and her six children (James Leroy Farley, Charles Dwane Farley, twins- Linda Sue (Farley) Buschjost and Brenda Lou (Farley) Maldi, twins - Anita & Rita Farley).  Freda is survived by her bother Terry (KC), her sister Doris and Don Gaub (Crocker), several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Freda will be remembered for her love of family and joy of life even when life dealt her the hardest hand imaginable she smiled, cracked a joke, and was the first to move on.  She loved her huge extended family and mostly enjoyed being a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother.  Her family was her life.  She spent most of her retirement loving, cooking, and laughing with her grandsons Johnathan and Keith Buschjost.  She enjoyed the great grandchildren visiting her in the nursing home and keeping her bird feeders full so she could enjoy the birds, squirrels, and deer.

Funeral services will be a private graveside at Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley, Missouri.
