Obituary of Judy Mae Leap

Judy Mae Leap was born the first child to Roy and Louise (Martin) Scott at their home in Camdenton, Missouri on February 6, 1945.  On the morning of April 30, 2021, she departed this life at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 76 years.

On May 30, 1956 at the age of 11 she was saved on a Wednesday night prayer meeting at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Camden County and was a member.

On May 8, 1965 she was united in marriage to Paul David Leap and to this union one child was born, Brent Leslie Leap, who preceded her in death at birth. They spent almost 56 years together.

She worked several years at the Ben Franklin Store and Gambles Store in Camdenton, Missouri until her health failed her.

Judy had a great love for gardening, puzzles, flowers, and sewing. She also loved her family and friends.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her loving husband Paul Leap, sister Violet, and many nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her baby Brent Leslie Leap, her parents Roy and Louise Scott, and her brother Charles Scott.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. Family will welcome friends for a visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery immediately following services.
