Obituary of Richard Glenn Janes

Richard Glenn Janes, age 61, of Montreal, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his residence.

Richard was born April 25, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Joseph Stephen and Etta Janes.

Richard was driven with hopefulness for his family and the community. He opened a trade school in 2020 - 2021. He was adventuresome and had an entrepreneurial spirit. He was an avid traveler, a teacher, a laborer, and a scholar.

Richard died a happy man, finding purpose and love in Christ our Lord.

Richard is survived by his wife Yvette; children Matthew, Ted and Miranda, and Jason and Tina; and grandchildren Taylor, Ethan and Juliana. He is also survived by his mother Etta Janes; sisters Tina and husband Dave and Pam and husband Jim; brother Michael and wife Dawn; Dianna Janes and Daniel and Tina Soper; other relatives and friends; and his dearly loved dog, Miss Maiya.

Richard was preceded in death by his father Joseph Stephen Janes and brother Joseph Stephen Janes, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.
