Obituary of Arlene Taer Schieferle

Arlene Taer Schieferle, age 50, of Kaiser, Missouri departed this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Arlene was born at home, delivered by her grandmother and Aunt (Ali), in the Village of Naval on Leyte Island, Philippines on March 27, 1971. She was the daughter of Francisco and Antonina Taer. She graduated with a teaching degree from the University of Visayas, Cebu in the class of 1985.

During the summer of 1994, she was united in marriage to Marshall L. Schieferle. They shared a wonderful life of traveling to and from the Philippines, Florida, and the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.

Arlene had a passion for gardening, fishing, traveling with her husband, and spending time with family (enjoying karaoke and card games). She also had a talent of improving properties alongside her husband, and later in life she discovered she had an amazing talent of air brush artistry. Her work is displayed in chain restaurants and large outdoor enthusiast stores throughout the country.

Arlene is survived by her husband Marshall L. Schieferle; her mother Antonina Taer; her sisters Analisa Taer, Charlene Redito, and Gloria Redito; her brothers Rodie Taer, Ronie Taer, and Lorenzo Taer; her step-son Mitchell Schieferle; and her step-grandson Miles Schieferle.

She was preceded in death by her father Francisco Taer and her brother Roel Taer.

Given her kind heart and loving nature, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 at 5:45 pm at the funeral home.
