Obituary of Charles E. Lewis

Charles E. “Charlie” Lewis, age 68, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at his home in Camdenton.

Charlie was born January 1, 1953 in Sedan, Kansas, the son of William Eugene and Barbara Jean (Henson) Lewis.

On July 14, 1989, Charlie was united in marriage to Kaylyn Jones in Camdenton, Missouri. They shared 31 years of marriage at the time of his passing.

Charlie enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and rebuilding cars. Some other favorite pastimes included riding his motorcycle and 4 wheeling. Charlie also took extreme pride in working for the Department of Defense and serving those who serve our country. Charlie gave his life to Christ and was baptized on June 21, 2020.  

Charlie is survived by his wife Kaylyn Lewis of the home; daughters Kendra Shields and son-in-law Adam Shields of Camdenton, Missouri and Chery Lynn Hardin of St. Robert, Missouri; sisters Marilyn Wade of Henryetta, Oklahoma and Billie Sanders (Kenneth) of Caney, Kansas; along with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents William and Barbara Lewis.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Knights of Columbus in Camdenton, Missouri on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 3pm to 6pm.
