Obituary of Arthur E. Gibbens III

Arthur “Buck” E. Gibbens III, age 73, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Arrowhead Senior Living in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Buck was born February 6, 1948 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Arthur E. Gibbens Jr. and Mary (Hudson) Gibbens.

On March 20, 1993, Buck was united in marriage to Kathryn Morgan in Galesburg, Illinois. They shared 41 years together at the time of his passing.

Buck owned Bucks Small Engine in Eldon, Missouri. He enjoyed being outside fishing, camping, and floating. He liked arrowhead hunting and collecting coins and old bottles. Buck liked to landscape, mow, and keep up with his garden. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Buck is survived by his wife Kathryn Gibbens of the home; son Dustin Gibbens of Windsor, California; daughters Dawn Robbins of Independence, Missouri, Kelly Erickson of Versailles, Missouri, and Mandi Gibbens of Eldon, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sisters Fran Allsop of Mechanicsburg, Illinois, Vickey Grahm (Gail) of Olean, Missouri, and Brenda Waters (Bill) of Barnett, Missouri.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents Arthur E. Gibbens Jr. and Mary Gibbens; son Jason Allen Gibbens; infant twin children; and 2 brothers Rex Curtsinger and Ralph Gibbens.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.
