Obituary of Vicky (Smith) Ponder

Vicky (Smith) Ponder, age 71, of Iberia, Missouri, was born March 28, 1950 to the late Perry and Janice (Baclesse) Smith.  She passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.  In 1997, she married Wayne Ponder, who preceded her in death in 2012.

 

Vicky was employed at Miller County Care and Rehab until 2002.  She enjoyed spending time with her family along with her dog.  Vicky loved going on drives, fishing, shopping, and playing Bingo.

 

Vicky is survived by two sons, Jeff Abbott of Eldon, Missouri and Joe Abbott and wife, Becky, of Tibbetts, Missouri; two daughters, Lori Colvin and husband, Scooter, of Iberia, Missouri, and Heather Fristoe and husband, Tony, of Jackson City, Missouri; three brother, Alan Smith and wife, Kathy, of Koeltztown, Missouri, Greg Smith and wife, Beverly, of Linn, Missouri and Brad Smith and wife, Donna, of East Prairie, Missouri; one sister, Bridget Leivan and husband, Edmond, Jr., of Linn, Missouri; and her best friend since childhood, Debbie Coon, of Jefferson City, Missouri.  She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren with three more on the way; along with many nieces and nephews and friends.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Vicky was preceded in death by a brother, Kent Smith; and a grandson, Collin Colvin.

 

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 218 Willow Tree Road, Iberia, Missouri.
