Obituary of Connie Sue Day

Connie Sue Day was born August 21, 1960, to Clarence and Wanda Kowalski in Croix Chapeau, France.  She departed this life Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Lake Regional Health System  in Osage Beach, Missouri.  

 

Connie is survived by her husband, Gary, two children, Shalon Day and Ashlee Bigley, one son-in-law, Bobby Bigley, three  grandchildren, Chloe, Karlee, and Kylie Bigley, her mother and stepfather, Wanda and Jerry Owens of Woodlawn, Illinois, one sister and brother-in law, Teresa and Bruce McBride of Pinckneyville, Illinois, two special nephews, Justin Ford and wife, Shay, of Elkville, Illinois, and Jesse Ford and wife, Jennifer, of Oceanside, California.

 

She moved with her military family to many different places including France, Germany, and several states.  She was proud to be called an "Army Brat" and made numerous friends and lots of memories every place she went.

 

Connie was preceded in death by her father in 1989.

 

She had an artistic talent and enjoyed crocheting, painting and making Christmas ornaments for family and friends. She also enjoyed making apple butter and canning different vegetables. In recent years she especially enjoyed spending time with friends at the Senior Center in Camdenton.

 

Connie will always be remembered for her kind heart, love of family, and most of all her sense of humor.  Even in the darkest times for her, she never lost her sense of humor.  She is greatly missed.
