Obituary of Sara Marica Sandfort

Sara Marica Sandfort, 58, of Russellville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on November 10, 1962 in Jefferson City, Missouri; a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Messer) Engelage.

Sara attended Russellville Public Schools. She was employed with various companies over the years but owned and operated A-1 Do You Right Tree Service. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Eldon, Missouri. Sara enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, rummaging through thrift stores and painting figurines. She was a practical joker and would tightly wrap Christmas presents to make it more challenging to open. Most of all, Sara loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her significant other Garry Werdehausen; sons Randy Sandfort, Billy Upton, and Bradley Sandfort (Alyssa); step-children Erica Hoffman (Lawrence), Corey Werdehausen (Breanna), and Amanda Werdehausen; brothers Ray Wood (Rhonda) and Victor Engelage (Linda); sister Rhonda Kay Spires; grandchildren Emmanuel, Zachary, Kirsten, Billy Joe, Kyler, Gaige, Jessica, Brooklyn, Dawson, Mason, Silas, Damien, and one on the way; great-grandson Kyson; nieces Ashley, Cheyenne, Rachelle, and Sue; and nephew Rusty.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents and brother Randy Wood.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Church of the Nazarene in Eldon, Missouri.

Inurnment will be at Enloe Cemetery in Russellville, Missouri.
