Obituary of Thomas R. Eiden
Thomas R. Eiden, 77, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2021 in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born May 13, 1944 in Evanston, IL, was formerly of Libertyville and has lived in Osage Beach for the past 5 years. He was a graduate of Loyola Academy in Wilmette and Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tom was the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Northern Illinois in Waukegan and in retirement became the owner of Starved Rock Harley Davidson in Ottawa, IL. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, holding season tickets for over 40 years. Many cherished family memories were made attending games together.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Sara Eiden; 3 children, Erin Vandervelde, Thomas Eiden Jr. and Keri (Derek) Port; 6 Grandchildren, Amy, Erik, Evey, Mackenzie, Zachary and Payton; his son-in-law, Bill Korbecki and his brother Mark (Jean) Eiden.
He was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Meghan Korbecki.
A visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 am Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) Libertyville and continue to St. Joseph Church at 121 W. Maple Avenue, Libertyville for funeral mass at 10:30 am on Friday.
