Obituary of Joan Evelyn Linton

Joan Evelyn Linton, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the age of 85, at her home in Macks Creek, Missouri.

Joan was born on December 30, 1935, in Climax Springs, Missouri, to Levi and Eda (Parks) Green.

Joan was married to Franklin (Frank) Linton, Jr. on May 13, 1954 in Tunas, Missouri. They shared 56 years together when he preceded her in death on April 13, 2010.

Joan was always a big fan of Blake Shelton’s music. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and shopping for clothing. While shopping, she liked to look at men. She loved her cats and also liked to cook. She loved family gatherings and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Sharon Linton of Macks Creek, Missouri, Russell Linton, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Frank Linton III and wife Julie of Macks Creek, Missouri, Dirk Linton and wife Amy of Macks Creek, Missouri, Daniel Linton and wife Betty Ann of Macks Creek, Missouri, Christina Lynn and husband Mike of Brumley, Missouri, Jason Linton and wife Nichole of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Karena Linton of Camdenton, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Jean King and husband Jimmy of Junction City, Kentucky and Edna Preciado and husband Charlie of Claremore, Oklahoma, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Linton, Jr.; children Connie Diann Linton and Jeffery Roger Linton; and parents Levi and Eda Green.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will follow services at Hopewell Cemetery in Tunas, Missouri.
