Obituary of Edsel Rainwater

Edsel Rainwater, age 89, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care System in Osage Beach.

Edsel was born July 10, 1932 in Montreal, Missouri, the son of Merrill and Margaret (Phillips) Rainwater.

Edsel graduated from Springfield College of Commerce with a degree in accounting. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War as an accounting clerk. He worked as an electrician for the state of Missouri for 35 years. He loved tinkering with anything electrical and working on old cars. He had 2 houses and was always looking for ways to improve them and work on them.

Edsel is survived by his son Mark Rainwater (Jane) of Pavillion, Wyoming; grandchildren Anthony Rainwater (Irene) of Gillette, Wyoming, Justin Rainwater (Kylie) of Casper, Wyoming, Michael Dykman (Julie) of Worland, Wyoming, and Brian Cubic of Nixa, Missouri; nieces Lois Wright (Jerry) of Linn Creek, Missouri, Linda Cooper (Charlie) of Napoleon, Missouri; nephews Merle Cross (Donna) of Camdenton, Missouri, Bob Rainwater (Becky) of Belton, Missouri, and Danny Cross (Tammy) of Versailles, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.

Edsel was preceded in death by his parents Merrill and Margaret Rainwater; daughter Pamela Norman; sisters Ola Cross and Margery Lawrence; and brothers Mack Rainwater, Warren Rainwater, Sid Rainwater, and Barney Rainwater.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:00 am at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.
