Obituary of Sally Catherine Campbell Parrack

Sally Catherine Campbell Parrack passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2:25 pm at the age of 93 in Topeka, Kansas.

Sally was born April 3, 1928 to the parents of David Campbell and Geneva Stansberry Campbell in Glover, Oklahoma.

On October 8, 1948, Sally married Clarence Raymond Parrack.

Sally was loved by all. She was an active member in the VFW Post in Antioch, California and traveled many miles representing the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a chaplain and Commander for the Ladies Auxiliary. Sally and Clarence loved dancing and going to the VFW meetings and all the Garage Party's with family and friends in the 60’s.

Sally worked in nursing homes in Antioch, California, Camdenton, Missouri and Fresno, California. In 1992, she was in a car accident in Oregon on her way to a Campbell family reunion in Washington state, causing her to retire early from the nursing profession. Sally is a survivor of breast cancer. Sally was an animal lover. She loved her pet dogs, cats, birds, fish, and mostly her turtles. Sally loved working in the yard with her plants and flowers. She also loved going to Macks Creek to the Parrack family reunions.

Sally is survived by her sons Robert W. Parrack of Missouri and Richard L. Parrack of Kansas; sister Barbara Campbell Hufford of Oregon; brothers George Campbell (Jill) of Arizona, Johnny Campbell (Wynonna) of Washington, Fred Campbell of California, and James Campbell (Gloria) of Washington; and sister-in-law Judy Campbell (Dave Jr.) Sally has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Raymond Parrack; sons John Bush III and Noel Edward Parrack; step-son Paul Alva Parrack; daughter Marry Ellen Bush Nichols; father David Campbell; mother Geneva Stansberry Campbell; sisters Faye Campbell Peck, Stella Campbell Phillips, Doris Campbell VanNorman, Mae Campbell Hammond; brother Dave Campbell Jr.; and daughters-in-law Nancy M. Peterson Parrack and Mary Bush (John).

May she go with God and rejoice with her family in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 12:00 – 1:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.

Sally will be laid to rest following services in the Macks Creek Cemetery next to her husband Clarence, close by son Noel (Eddie) and daughter Marry Ellen.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
