Obituary of Linda Cheek

Linda Cheek, age 64, of Bokeelia, Florida passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at The Estates of Perryville Nursing Home in Perryville, Missouri.

Linda was born November 27, 1957, the daughter of Isaac Cheek and Barbara Randall. Linda was a loving sister to Kathy Cheek Foster and her brother Wesley Cheek. Linda was raised in Camdenton, Missouri and graduated from Camdenton High School. Linda lived a full and very fun life during which she had two daughters, Jaclyn Dickerson Peters and Deannah Dickerson Bass.

Linda could often be found vacationing, whether it be in Mexico at the beach or Colorado skiing down the mountain. Fun was always there to be had. During Linda’s 30s she was the proud owner of the Old Town Saloon and Eatery in Lenexa, Kansas with her dear friend Terry Funk. Linda also loved antiquing and spent many years buying and selling her beloved antiques.

In 2003, Linda decided to move to Florida where life could be a vacation. She loved going to the many beaches of Southwest Florida. Her love for fishing and the Florida sun had her enjoying many years in Bokeelia. She made many great friends whom she loved to entertain with her parties for every occasion.

Linda is survived by her daughter Jaclyn Peters and husband Dennis Peters of Camdenton, Missouri; grandchildren Alberto Camarillo, Angel Dickerson, Terrance Dickerson, and Anna Peters; daughter Deannah Bass of Cape Coral Florida; grandchildren Ashley Bass and DMarion McBride; sister Kathy Cheek Foster of Kansas City, Missouri; brother Wesley Cheek of Laurie, Missouri; nieces and  nephews Daniel Foster and wife Kendra of Witchita, Kansas, Caleb Foster of Kansas City, Missouri, and Isaac Foster and wife Jessica of DuPont, Washington; many great nieces and nephews; dear friend Linda Thomas of Lake Whales, Florida; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Isaac Cheek, mother Barbara Randall, and dear friend Terry Funk.
