Obituary of Amanda Jean Tucker

Amanda Jean Tucker, age 60, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Amanda was born October 6, 1961 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, the daughter of Jim and Mollie Balis.

On July 1, 1996, in Macks Creek, Missouri,  Amanda was united in marriage to Junior Tucker who preceded her in death on February 3, 2018.  They had shared  over 21 years  of marriage at the time of Junior's death.

Amanda loved spending time outdoors, animals, crocheting and doing puzzles. Her most precious time was spent with her children, grandchildren and family.

Amanda is survived by her daughter, Amanda “Mandy” Tryon and husband, Philip,  of Linn Creek, Missouri; sons, Drew Tucker and wife Sam of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Kevin Tucker of Macks Creek, Missouri ; five grandchildren;  one brother, Chris Balis; four sisters, Ashley McNamer, Sara Balis, Tracie Oliver and husband  Deano,  and Joyce Beck and husband George.  

Amanda was preceded in death by her husband Junior Tucker, and her parents Jim and Mollie Balis.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm,  Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.
